My life as an actor

Ye ol hallow's eve

So today is my father's birthday, so yesterday we went to Mandarin with some other family (oh joy) to stuff our faces. And despite my not liking my father all that much, I was more than glad to partake in all that gluttony. My dad was telling me later that day that one of my cousins, who I already knew was not all that open minded, had actually joined a group called w.a.r., which is white aryan race, or some such bs. What a maroon. As you can see, there's a reason I try to avoid my dad's side of the family as much as possible.

Anyways, work today was pretty slow, but it's going to pick up quite a bit in the next few days. Really not much to say, so toodles.

It's just so hard to do, everytime you do that thing you do

Busy day today, I guess. Woke up at 11, placed an order for work and headed to the mall, where I visited the cute little doggies at the pet store as usual. I ate some greek food, and bought a pair of jeans (my first in like, 10 years) and 2 belts, and the Stewie Griffin movie. Plus I helped my Karma by helping out a couple of out of towners trying to get home. I am too nice.
Lost is on tonight, and I have chips and beer. Could life be any better?

ps. I got my poster and sticker from Krissy today. Jawesome! Thank you very much, my soul is yours.

the trash lines up at the door just to bring me the news

Hi.
I haven't been around much the past few days, and no, it's not because I got a life. Sadly.
Friday I was at work until about 6:30 or something, then I went to my aunt & uncle's so we could bitch about work (he works where I do) and eat chinese food and I had 2 beers (mmm).
Saturday morning, my alarm didn't go off (my fault) so I called a cab so I wouldn't be late. So I wait and I wait, and finally I call back. "he's on his way, go on outside dear" So I went back outside and waited some more. Ended up waiting more than a half hour in total. So of course I was late, oh well. Got my work done and was out the door by noon. Came home and took a nap. mmm, napping. One of my top 3 favourite things to do. Unfortunately it was interrupted. By my boss, asking if I had any plans tonight. Oh joy. So I went into work for 5 and finished a little after 11. My god was it busy. And apparently, it's just going to get worse, and he wants me to do this more often. Someone kill me now. Plus he gave me shit because we ran out of wetnaps. diediedie.

Anyways, after I left, I went next door to the Boston Pizza, sat down and ordered myself a giant beer and some food. Kevin, a manager/waiter came in and had a beer with me. We shot the shit and talked about how fucked up that place is. He's a cool dude. Then I came home and now here I am about to head to bed. Yes, that is my life. Work, sleep, beer. Depressing, really.

happy hump day

So, how's it going people?
Work has been work. In fact, I worked a 13 hour day on Monday. Now that was tiring. But hey, extra money for me. Oh hey, I just realized that I have nothing else to talk about. Today's my day off, I did a little grocery shopping. Wahoo. Fun times were had by all.
Other than that, I've just be relaxing with my doggy and watching soaps, and eating chips n' salsa.

Lost is on tonight though, so that's a good thing, unfortunately, that means back to work tomorrow. The cycle continues.

Good times

Not only did I meet Krissy and her sister and her cute friend (I can't remember any names at the moment, woops), Matt played PTD acoustic + tripoli, Near Fantastica, Suburbia, The Rat, Giant and a rockass version of Advertising on police cars.

Then I stopped on the way home and drank myself silly. And the Leafs won. Oh man I need to sleep.

The twilight ride to the slowest death you've ever known

Work was work, as usual. Day off tomorrow. Yippee.
My story for the day:
So I'm riding the bus on my way home and it stops in front of my old highschool and bunch of little brats get on, grade 9 tops. And of course, they try to be cool and pull the old one guy gets on-rushes to the back-steps on the stairs to open the door and some other idiots sneak on trick. But being the little retards they are, there was only about 10 of them, not nearly enough to block the drivers view of what was going on. So he tells whoever snuck on to pay up. Two of them head up to the front and pay. But the bus driver says there's one more, and no one budges. So he turns the bus off and says "whenever you're ready, let me know, because we aren't moving until you pay", then he stands up gets off the bus, which I thought was awesome seeing as I had nowhere to be.
So we sat there for a few minutes, and some lady at the front of the bus yells "get off the fucking bus". Hilarious! Eventually one of them goes up to pay, saying "fine, I'll pay but you owe me" or some such bullshit. Of course, he only pays child fare, and being that we were in front of a highschool, the driver wanted student fare. So someone else had to chip in.
One more reason why I fuckin' hate kids.

Matt Good in 4 days. Jawesome.

I'm humming the HNIC theme in case you were wondering

You know one of the things I love about living in this area, the gradual temperature change between seasons.

For example, Thursday was 27 Celsius, the next day was down to 13. Not a probably, a little colder but still comfortable. But what's this? Saturday morning I wake up for work, and it's 3 outside. 3! I wore a toque for crying outloud. But then again, I love wearing my toque. One of my coworkers said it was supposed to snow next week or something, which sounds crazy, but apparently it's already snowed out west, though I have not confirmed this. And crazier things have happened.

Anyways, that's all I have to say really, hockey's on and I have beer to drink. Later peeps.

Enjoy me in all my glory, won't you?

it must be your skin I'm sinking in

So Saturday morning I get to work around 7, get everything done and get out a little after 10, take a cab straight to the airport, where I waited for about an hour and a half in line at customs. Oh joy. Got through customs, then was randomly searched at the metal detector security check place. Lovely. Then more waiting for plane. The plane ride itself was fine, I quite enjoy flying actually. Landed at Laguardia at around 2, and took a cab to the venue, only 25 bucks so it wasn't too bad. Seeing as the show didn't start till 7:30, I had some time to kill. There happened to be a TGI Friday's across the street, so I went in, had a couple pints of Guiness, and some quesadillas to pass the time.
I met up with my fellow Torontonian traveller about 5 minutes before show time, and then it began. It was a blast and definitely worth the trip. My buddy introduced me to someone he knew from the area, who despite being quite the weirdo, and completely full of shit, would give us a place to stay. Hey, it was free, so why not. I slept a couple of hours on an extremely uncomfortable couch, all the while our host was up watching tv, not sleeping a wink.
Anyways, seeing as there was no food in the house, the following morning, me and my buddy went out for some food, we ended up at a taco bell in the middle of Harlem. How that happened, I'm not sure, but might as well do the whole tour of the city while I'm at it right? From there I rode the bus to the airport and pretty much hopped on a plane and came home. And that was my excitement for this weekend.

Oh, and I was denied on my credit card application, which is retarded.

The end. Bye now.

in an airport lounge I try and drown

Things I saw on my trip:
Madison Square Garden
Empire State Building
Manhattan Bridge
Harlem (and I survived)
Yankee Stadium (from the sky)

I also rode public transportation because I'm hardcore like that. All in all a rather awesome trip, despite the lack of sleep on some weird dude I don't know's uncomfortable couch. Anyways, more details tomorrow perhaps, I'm zonked and have work in the morning.
